The Ancient Garden from Babylon to Rome
2007/2008 - Scientific cooperation
This is the result of experimental research led by Dr. Annamaria Ciarallo, internationally renowned Applied Research Laboratory of the Superintendence for Archaeological Heritage of Naples and Pompeii (SAP) botany and director.
The study of a mowing meadow carbonized at the time of Vesuvius eruption in 79 AD and discovered in the Poppea's Villa at Oplontis, allowed to identify 89 vegetal species that made up the garden.
Commissioned by SAP, Pagano Costantino & F.lli Srl has implemented most of the species with a complex research. It also carried out the mixtures of many other ancient gardens (Perfumer's House, J. Polibio's House, Chaste Lovers House, Painters at Work House, Ebe's Meadow).
This partnership has culminated in these events:

- Promotion and Management of Urban Green and Monuments in Province of Naples (Pompeii Archeological site, 2008)
